Oolong teas are among the tea drinking world’s most revered and have become en vogue recently due to people like Tim Ferriss and Dr. Oz singing its praise. Check it out and you’ll find out what all the fuss is about! Oolong tea is made in a process where the tea leaves are allowed to wither in the sun and then are bruised by shaking in order to stimulate the process of fermentation before the tea is fired (and fermentation stops). This process gives the tea leaves a unique, twisty shape that resembles a black dragon, which is what “oolong” means in Chinese. Our tea comes from Taiwan and has a rich amber color and peach undertones when properly brewed.
